2014 EPIK Young Leaders Conference 논문 공모

동아시아연구원(EAI)은 차세대 인재 양성 프로그램의 일환으로 국내외 학부생 및 대학원생(박사과정 제외)을 대상으로 [제5회 EPIK Young Leaders Conference]를 개최합니다. EAI는 본 연례학술회의를 통하여 글로벌 마인드를 가진 젊은 인재들이 오늘날 국제사회가 직면한 중요한 문제들에 대한 의견을 나누는 지적 교류의 장을 마련하고자 합니다.

                                                                        

오늘날 세계가 직면한 복합적인 문제들에 대응하기 위해서는 젊은 세대의 역할이 중요합니다. EPIK Young Leaders Conference에 참가하는 학생들은 이러한 시대적 요구에 부응하여 변화하는 시대상에 대한 자신의 견해를 제시할 수 있을 뿐 아니라, 다른 참가자들과의 토론을 통하여 보다 확장된 이해를 얻고 인적 네트워크를 형성할 수 있는 기회를 갖게 될 것입니다. 이번 논문 공모전에 참여하는 모든 젊은이들이 창조적•전략적•분석적 사고를 연마할 수 있게 되기를 기대합니다.

 

논문공모와 발표는 모두 영어로 진행되며 최종 합격된 논문은 EAI 온라인 저널로 발간됩니다. 여러분의 많은 관심과 성원 부탁 드립니다.

응모 자격

만 18~35세(1979년 이후 출생)의 국내외 대학생 및 석사과정 재학생 및 졸업생 (박사과정 제외, 휴학생 및 2012년 이후 졸업생 가능, 전공 무관)

 

논문 주제

Followership: A New Approach to Understanding Leadership

 

Followers and leaders have co-existed in every aspect of human societies, across time and across space. Despite the co-existing relationship and mutual interactions between the two constituents of social structures, there has been a relative lack of scholarly attention and study on the role of followers and how followership complements leadership. The onset of the 21st century characterized by the information revolution, democratization and globalization, however, casts new-fangled light on followership and the role of followers in initiating or responding to various social changes and challenges.

 

Followers can sustain, complement, or challenge existing leadership. Without followership and the acceptance of the existing leadership, the legitimacy of leaders can be significantly diminished in governments, companies, and many other social institutions. In a reciprocal way, followership cannot exist or be maintained without leadership. Therefore, followership and leadership can be characterized as a coherent whole. With this in mind, how should we conceptualize followership of the 21st century? How can we best understand the role of followership in its relation to leadership?

 

2014 EPIK Young Leaders Conference invites bright young scholars from around the world in various academic disciplines to ponder upon the role of followership in its interaction with leadership and suggest the outlook of followership in the 21st century, exploring various historical and contemporary issues. You may write your essay employing any academic field of your choice.

l 제출 서류 : 신청서 (400 words 이하의 초록 포함), 영문 이력서, 학생증 또는 졸업증명서 사본

 

2. 2차 전형: 논문 초고 접수

l 접수 마감 : 2014년 6월 13일 금요일 자정

l 2차 전형 결과발표: 2014년 7월 4일 월요일

l 제출 서류 : 논문 초안 (5,000 words 이하, 초록/키워드/참고문헌 미포함)

 

3. 최종 논문 접수

l 접수 마감 : 2014년 7월 25일 금요일 자정

l PPT 마감 : 2014년 8월 1일 금요일 자정

 

4. 2014 에픽 영 리더스컨퍼런스

l 논문 발표 및 시상 : 2014년 8월 13일

 

시상 내역

1. 최우수 논문 발표자 1명 :200만원

2. 우수 논문 발표자 1명 :100만원

* 필요시 시상 인원이 조정될 수 있습니다. 상금의 제세공과금은 수상자가 부담합니다.

 

논문작성 및 제출 방법

1. 모든 논문은 한 사람이 집필하여야 하며, 공저 논문은 받지 않습니다.

2. 타 공모전 수상 논문 또는 국내외에서 발표된 논문은 응모할 수 없습니다.

3. 모든 제출서류는MS Word 형식의 파일로 작성하여 주십시오.

4. 서류제출 및 문의는 이메일(epik2014@eai.or.kr)로만 가능합니다.
